The Executive Committee consists of the elected officers from the Board of Directors. This committee advises the President and acts on behalf of the Board where needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate cross-committee communication and coordination.
- Recommends organizational policies and procedures.
- Monitors activities, goals, and budgets.
- Nominates committee chairs to lead committees in accomplishing organizational goals and making recommendations to the board.
DEVLOPMENT COMMITTEE (FUNDRAISING)
Lori Matsukawa - Development Chair
Volunteers lead the board's participation, planning and implementation of resource development and fundraising.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Program Manager to develop the Capital Campaign and fundraising development plan.
- Develop policies, plans, procedures, and schedules for board involvement in fund-raising.
- Educate board / membership on organization's program plans and resources needed to realize those plans.
- Educates Board with fund-raising skills and techniques so that they are comfortable raising money.
- Central source of information about the fund-raising climate


in general, and about the status of the organization's fund-raising activities in particular.
- Sets minimum guidelines for Board contributions and then solicits those contributions.
- Identify, cultivate, and approach major donors.
- Oversee and develop grants and funding proposal
PROGRAMMING COMMITTEE
Ina Tatechi - Programming Chair
Kellie Nakano - Co-Chair
Volunteers review NHAW/JCCCW activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determine program & services.
- Supplement program & service availability.
BUILDING AND CONSTRUCTION COMMITTEE
Brad Tong - Building and Construction Chair
Andy Moniz and Steve Woo - Co-Chairs
Volunteers lead efforts in planning, design, and construction activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop design options & construction costs.
- Make recommendations to Board.
