Community Involvement
Yoisho! Volunteer Program

Want to become more involved with the JCCCW? Then why not sign up to become a Yoisho! Volunteer?! The goal of the Yoisho! Volunteer Program is to foster volunteerism and leadership in the community by directly involving community members in the Cultural Center project. Yoisho! Volunteers play an invaluable role at the JCCCW donating their time and expertise to provide support for programs and events at the Cultural Center. Our volunteers come from various backgrounds but all are dedicated to the JCCCW’s mission of promoting and sharing Japanese and Japanese American history and culture.

We are currently looking for Yoisho! Volunteers to help staff the JCCCW booth at the Aki Matsuri fall festival at Bellevue College.  If you want to get involved in at the JCCCW and become part of the Yoisho! Volunteer Program sign up today or contact us at  at admin@jcccw.org and let us know what your interests and skills are.
Ganbaru Internship Program

JCCCW is happy to offer its Ganbaru Internship Program to college students or recent college graduates. Ganbaru gives interns the opportunity to work with the JCCCW in a more involved way; working closely with our staff to coordinate and implement many of the different projects and programs at the JCCCW. The program is designed to give interns valuable work experience and acquire meaningful skills that will help them in their future careers while simultaneously making an important contribution to the JCCCW.

The JCCCW is currently looking for current college students and recent college graduates to fill its Ganbaru Internship Fall 2011 Program. Interns should be able to commit at least 10 hours a week. If you  would like to make a positive contribution to the JCCCW while gaining marketable skills and experience fill out our online application today or contact Volunteer Coordinator Leela Bilow at leelab@jcccw.org for more information.
