In the Guide
Provided in the guide are suggestions and materials for teachers and leaders to incorporate into existing curriculum and programs.
In the lessons, you will find:
- approximate time frames for completing activities,
- age and grade level connections,

- methods of sharing the book.
There are also modification, extension and follow-up ideas. Any of the lessons, along with the related materials can be printed from this site.
Other support materials include print ready historical reference documents (referred to as primary documents), 2008 Washington State EALR correlations, assessment ideas, and a list of additional related bibliography.
For general support you'll find Japanese vocabulary, writing prompts and reading charts, maps and timeline lessons. You can use these in any order. The suggestions in this guide are based on sharing a single copy of the book with a group. To get additional copies, please contact the Omoide project team.
