Welcome to the NHAW/JCCCW/JLS website
Heritage remembered... an exceptional gift to the future.

We are an organization that is committed to preserving, promoting and sharing Japanese and Japanese American culture and heritage. We do so by creating, funding and supporting multi-cultural and intergenerational education which celebrates diversity, art, culture, and language. We are also devoted to preserving Japanese American history and heritage. By honoring both the contributions and challenges of Pacific Northwest Issei and Nisei generations, we offer publications, family legacy projects and the Northwest Nikkei Museum.

Recently, the Seattle Japanese Language School (SJLS) and the NHAW/JCCCW have joined forces to further these efforts. This will result in growth of the cultural programs offered at the center and in doing so will encourage and advance our cultural education and preservation efforts.
